Artist Statement
The world we inhabit today is undergoing a rapid information revolution, with new media and tools being created, and both individuals and authority groups adapting and mastering these changes. In this context, our daily exposure to information is taking on a surreal quality, and with it our identity, morality and freedom are being subtly reshaped. His work often looks to ancient myths, religions and legends for archetypes and perspectives, reconstructing the original texts to construct a collision across time and space, where new values and meanings are generated. Through contrast, contemporary issues are examined, such as whether there is freedom of identity in digital identity. The paradoxical relationship between desire and morality? ...etc. Much of his practice results from collaborative efforts, resulting in works that span film, performance, installation, and poetry. Working on a project-by-project basis, it begins to examine contemporary issues and to define them clearly in philosophy, thus giving us a deeper understanding of our own human limitations and meanings, as well as the world.
